April 23, 2015: Skunk Pilot/James Currie/Kevin Parham

Skunk Pilot plays live

This week we're presenting the amazing indie space funk styles of the two-member band Skunk Pilot! These two have a great music history, but this all-new venture has a great sounds all it's own. Max Rome and Jake Moody play a killer live set that's sure to please!

Next up, author James Currie talks about the wildlife of Africa, the subject of his new book, "When Eagles Roar: The Amazing Journey of an African Wildlife Adventurer," which he co-wrote with Bonnie Fladung. Currie joins us over the phone to talk about his many experiences, both humorous and treacherous, as well as what it's like to be a park ranger in Africa.

Author Kevin Parham shares his stories of spending 50 summers in Martha's Vineyard, which are the subject of his book, "The Vineyard We Knew: A Recollection of Summers on Martha's Vineyard." Parham talks about what life there was like when he was a child, how it's changed, and some of the little-known facts of the Vineyard.
