June 23, 2016: Little War Twins/Aeronaut Brewery/Justin Cohn

The band Little War Twins is up first with a sick live set. If you've ever seen this duo perform, you won't want to miss this. After, Gaetana and James talk with Max about their national tour that they've been on since April and lay out their plans for new music.

Ronn Friedlander and Ben Holmes of Aeronaut Brewing Company will join us tonight to talk about the two-year anniversary of this amazing showcase of quality beer, food, and artists. Since opening, this company has set the bar in quality beer and excellent shows. Plus, they give back with fundraiser shows and educational programs. What do they have in store for year 3? Singer-songwriter Justin Cohn has a brand new EP out, "All Aglow," and he shares a couple songs live on the show. The stories behind these songs are deeply personal, dealing with the loves and losses in his life. Justin gigs constantly, and has become a known talent in the New Hampshire area.

June 16, 2016: EBASS & Jack and Katie Music/Author Barbara Welch/Skin Drone

Hailey Magee, founder of EBASS, joins Max to talk about the city of Boston and the support it offers [or doesn't offer] for it's growing artistic community. Artists have it rough in Boston, between the escalating rent, shuttering venues, and more, many are making the move to New York or LA to seek bigger and better opportunities. But is there more here than meets the eye?

Joining us for the EBASS segment is the wonderful musical duo of Jack and Katie. These two have been performing for years, and possess an amazing sound which they share on the show with some live songs.

Author Rev. Barbara Welch shares her experience in dealing with child abuse through her book, "Out of Hiding: Grace is Still Enough." This is her first book, and she wrote it in just three months. In it, she details her spiritual journey to the home of Martin Luther and the transformation she experienced.

Otto Kinzel makes his big return to talk about his new project, Skin Drone! Working with fellow musician Erik Martin, these two have crafted a metal album that screams from the genre's heyday. These two worked hundreds of miles apart, through e-mail and phone, and the result is one hell of an album!

Comedian Mike Hanley has so many stories about all the shows he's done, and how he handles some difficult audience members. He shares a few of them, and some rather memorable fans. This guy's won a slew of awards and been a finalist in many comedy competitions.

From a brief chance encounter, author James Scorzelli penned his novel "Retribution," about how a priest haunted by his work with the Nuremberg trials and selfish young man both grow and change from each other's company.

Comedians Allen McRae and Matt Fear talk about their new monthly sketch comedy program "Terrible People" and the return of the popular show "Comedy, America!" What do they have in store, and how did Terrible People come to be?

Singer-songwriter Anna Madsen's new album, "Efflorescence," is a hauntingly beautiful collection of music produced by Rocking Horse Studios. The metal band People Eating Machines make some amazing music, and they open the show an epic as hell live set! They've got new music in the works, plus a show on June 17, and we talk about how they formed, and new music they have in the works.

We spent a lot of time watching the hilarious comedy stylings of Steve Scarfo, and he calls in to talk about the many real-life things that make it into his act, as well as his recent foray into major and independent film.

Musicians looking to make a music video won't want to miss our interview with the guys from Project 2 Studios. This Manchester-based company has made some amazing videos, including one with a rocket chair! That's right, rocket chair.

May 26, 2016: R.D. King/Studio 550/The Dirty Dottys/Chuggernaut

Instrumental musician R.D. King opens the show with some beautiful acoustic songs. We talk about the journeys he's taken and how they've become woven into his debut album and how people interpret his music.

Next up, Monica Leap of Studio 550, located in Manchester, N.H. joins us. Her studio has classes galore, from stained glass painting to martial arts. Currently, they're running a Monster Hunt were people craft clay monsters and leave them all over the city for people to find. Along with the varied classes, Monica shares how they work with those brand new to the art world.

The Dirty Dottys start off the second hour with some never before released tracks for Citywide! They've also got a new album in the works, and a Kickstarter campaign with some amazing prizes.

The metal band Chuggernaut keeps the new music rolling on! They've got a new EP, "First Batch," and they share the stories behind the songs, such as the many attempts to find the perfect opener for "Beer Mountain." They're also going on tour this summer, with spots in Connecticut, Tennessee, and New York.

Hailey Magee, founder of the Emerging Boston Area Singer Songwriters group is back to talk about how best to engage with an audience as part of our monthly EBASS segment This is a pretty insightful discussion that touches on how to really connect with fans both in person and online.
Plus, singer-songwriter Nate Taylor is coming with her, and he's got a new album coming out, "Harboring Hope." We also talk about a promise he made to himself in 2013 to make music his career.

Ben Lauranzano of Cape Ann Brewing shares a few beers with the Citywide crew and tells us about how the business got its start and the many
flavors that they offer. We talk about what makes a really good beer, the seasonal flavors, and how New England has made a name for itself in
the beer industry.

Filmmaker Crosby Tatum, producer Opal Thompson and actor Keith Mascoll are on for the award-winning romantic comedy, Confused by Love. The movie was recently accepted into the Roxbury International Film Festival in June. When a couple is facing foreclosure on their home, an offer to
save them brings some secrets to light.

May 12, 2016: Dorothea Jensen/Manni Festo/Copperfrog Games

We're opening the show with author Dorothea Jensen's book, "A Buss From Lafayette." This book, which is set in the 19th century, is centered on 14-year-old Clara Hargraves and her life on a farm in Hopkinton, a small New Hampshire town. Things have taken a drastic turn for the worse, but in hearing the stories from her friends and neighbors--and the legendary General Lafayette--she gains a new perspective on her troubles.

Hip-hop artist Manni Festo is next, for his recent album release, "Skeletones." Manni's been very busy of late, with shows and new music videos, and he tells us what went into this album, his time growing up in Montclair, N.J., and the many, many people who contributed to his recent release.

Michael Epstein brings the gaming world to Citywide for his new tabletop game, "Tattoo! The Game of Ink." He debuted this project at Pax East in April, and lays out the origin of the game, the tattoo artists who offered their art, and how to play.

May 5, 2016: The Head/Corey Rodrigues/Eternal Embrace/Ruby Rose Fox

This week was a huge one! Author Gina House begins her co-host residency and does an absolutely awesome job! Plus, Matt Zappa comes back to join the show in between touring with Math the Band and recording new music!

Jack Shaw of The Head joins us to talk about the band's 80-spot tour that they just did over the last few months. They did this all on their own, and that's a real testament to what DIY can accomplish. Now that the tour has been put to bed, they're working on a new 13-song album.

Comedian Corey Rodrigues is far more than a funny personality. He's done a lot of work in film and music videos, and is always working towards that next big milestone. He shares some of his experiences on stage and a few brain-teasers.

Ethan Peasley is the author of the vampire-themed books "Immortal Touch" and "Eternal Embrace." He's been a reader of vampire lore and hopes to bring the genre back to its roots that made it so good in the first place.

Ruby Rose Fox is a name that's well known in Boston and for good reason! The band has put on some stellar shows over the years, and now have a debut EP to release later this month. Ruby shares some of the personal tales behind these new songs and we play a few of them.

April 28, 2016: EBASS/Carlin Tripp/Jaysen Christopher/Whoopi Sticks

This week we welcome back Hailey Magee of EBASS for our monthly busiess/music segment. This month, Hailey and I chat with singer-songwriter Carlin Tripp about some of the do's and don'ts of bands when they perform. Afterward, Carlin talks about his 18Strings concert series, which has become a popular show at the Dedam Square Coffeehouse. Carlin also plays a few songs that have some very special meaning to him.

Author Jaysen Christopher is next and has he got a story to tell! His debut book, "Judgement Day," is a twisty little mystery that takes former CIA agent Kaylyn Vale on an intense ride as she tries to find out who is responsible for the serial murder of judges.

The band Whoopi Sticks rounds out the show, with new music and a great lineup scheduled for the Middle East on May 7. They also share some ideas on how to create a musical community, and what they'd like to see come of it.

April 21, 2016: Riddle and the Stars/Arc Iris/The Chestnuts

Bobbo and Tracy Byrnes of The Fallen Stars and singer-songwriter Ben Riddle of Australia are first on deck to talk about their new collaborative project, "Riddle & The Stars." The three met while on tour and found their sounds meshed to well that an album together was the natural result. They're on tour now, with an upcoming show in Lowell on April 28.

Providence-based Arc Iris is next, and along with an ongoing tour of their own, we discuss the beautiful music videos that have been created for them by director Anne Beal. And as a special surprise, Anne shows up just in time to join us for a surprise interview to talk about how she visualized their sounds.

The Chestnuts were on two weeks ago for an amazing live set, and they're back once more. Is this the beginning of a Citywide residency? Maybe, but for now we talk about how this new band met, spin a brand new song, look to their plans for the summer, and discuss their desire for a future album release.

Matt Martino returns as guest co-host, with some big news about his feature film, "Chainsaw Maidens From Hell!"

The band Gay Sin is on first with a stellar live set! They've got a ton of shows happening this spring and summer, and a demo in the works very soon. We talk about how this recently-formed band got together, and give tons of shout-outs to friends and fans.

An old friend returns! Singer-songwriter Greg Adams has new music in the works, but perhaps the bigger news is that he's moving to Nashville in May. After performing in New York and Boston, Greg says he's ready to take his music to the next level, and has already made a number of contacts in Nashville's music community.

Matt Zappa returns for our first April episode! He's got big news to share about some upcoming tours that he's a part of.

The Chestnuts open the show with some sick live tunes. They're a recent formation, but they've been hard at work on recording some new music and playing shows.

George Woods, an old friend of the show, joins us to talk about his first new music since 2013, "I Am," an album that explores some of the more personal stories of his life. He's been running a PledgeMusic campaign, with some great success. He plays a live tune as well, and we give you a listen to his first single release, "Highest Love."
