Boston comedy legend to host NE Music Awards

Popular, enduring icon of the Boston comedy scene, Steve Sweeney has made a name for himself lampooning the local culture and idiosyncrasies of his fellow New Englanders.

His great comedic timing and delivery have built him a huge local fan base, have carried him around the country and onto the big screen, and earn him the accolades of many a review wherever he goes; much like the bands who will share the stage on Feb. 22, at the New England Music Awards.

In a match-up concocted from a talent pool thick with the dirty water of Boston itself, The New England Music Awards is proud to announce Comedian Steve Sweeney as the host and emcee of their annual event at The Lowell Memorial Auditorium, where he is sure to entertain and bring the kind of energy to the show that has made him a national talent and a local legend.

Also, The New England Music Awards is proud to be partnering with the City of Lowell on the Lowell Winterfest 2014 events, where NEMA will be presenting past award winners and nominees during two nights of exciting, high-energy performances during the festivities.
